The first people I met in the GMF role in April were Nick Penny and Mary Coupe who have recently formed a Community Interest Company called M.I.S. (Music Industry Services), who had been trying to meet me for ages. Both of them have links with Switched On and have been involved in the Coleford Music Festival. They had met with George a few weeks earlier. Their aims include setting up an equipement pool and providing stage, light and sound services. They are keen to get involved with education, providing guidance for young musicians, master classes and also sponsorship deals for under 21s. Nick has previously managed some local young bands and also has a promotions arm of what he is trying to do.
